Our Educational Philosophy

We believe that the nature of education is to help the student develop his/her fullest potential. Education is not only a tool to teach students knowledge, but also a process of nurturing our students to become whole persons. Therefore, in its aim of setting up a new education model for the 21st century, KKCS applies an integrative pedagogy to develop a holistic education approach that helps students achieve their goals intellectually, as well as grow emotionally, morally, and spiritually.

With globalization, our world is rapidly being integrated into one economic village in which cultural understanding is becoming the first priority for human beings to co-exist. Therefore, as a heritage school, KKCS encourages human understanding from a local to a global perspective through exposure to Chinese culture and Chinese as a second language.

Following the guideline of Standards for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st Century, we offer our students a theme-based, standards-based, and technology-infused Chinese language and cultural education. By creating an exciting, dynamic, learn-by-doing, full-immersion learning environment, KKCS provides its students with the opportunity to experience and explore the beauty of the Chinese language and the richness of Chinese culture.

We believe that the best education is education for love. Therefore, KKCS makes every effort to create a love-and-caring-based community so that our staff, students and parents feel that, as part of this big family, they are highly respected and cared for. We also believe that the optimum teaching method is “to teach students according to their aptitude.” Thus, our courses are designed to meet the needs of students at varying ability levels and with different learning styles and paces.
