My name is Jenny Chin Lee Lio. I was born in Canton, China and speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. I earned my Associate in Art Degree at Fisher College in Boston in 1995 and my Bachelor Degree in Human Development at Lesley University in 2005.. I had worked at CCHS for 11 years and have progressed form teacher, to lead teacher, to education supervisor. I love working with children and their families. I am currently a Child Development Associate (CDA) trainer/advisor at ABCD Head Start, Inc. I train different Early Childhood Head Start teachers and family child care providers. I have taught bilingual (i.e. English, Cantonese and Mandarin) CDA courses and have assisted many Chinese teachers to get their CDA credentials. I also trained early childhood educators on how to plan cultural activities to meet children's interests.
I am also a weekend Chinese teacher in Kwong Kow Chinese School. I enjoy teaching children. I love to share the Chinese culture with my students, such as Chinese stories, music, songs and books. I always remind them that it is important to take every opportunity to observe, explore, and learn the Chinese language and culture. I respect every culture of a child and his/her family. I understand each child has his/her potential and I am here to help lead these children in developing their potential skills.
