Interim Principal

Ms. Evonne Liu, Interim Principal of Kwong Kow Chinese School holds two M.S. degrees from the South Normal University in China and the State University of New York at Buffalo. Prior to joining KKCS, she was the Dean of the Century Chinese Language School in Massachusetts where she designed the Chinese teaching curriculum and supervised all Chinese language programs.  Evonne guided the development of teaching plans and conducted research to provide teachers with a variety of exemplary non-traditional instructional resources. She managed the Chinese Faculty and designed and taught the professional development programs. As president of Sunshine Children’s Sciences and Arts Association she expanded Chinese culture programs with community courses in Chinese painting, Chinese Youth Chorus and Chinese dance. Evonne thrives on nurturing lifelong learning environments that inspire responsible, and creative leaders and learners.  She is a member of the New England Chinese Language Teachers Network and New England Chinese Information Networking Association among others. An experienced teacher of the Chinese language at different levels, she brings a combined expertise in administration, pedagogy, language acquisition, instruction, assessment, and teacher training.
