Kwong Kow Chinese School held a Chinese New Year Celebration Party & TA Appreciation Day at its auditorium room recently. At the celebration, they first showed some films of stories and customs about Chinese New Year to the kids, talking about the meaning of Spring Festival, and then started a game on Spring Festival with prizes.

The Principal of the school, Yanyu Zhou, thanked the Teaching Assistants, more than 10 students from many colleges, for their constant help to the teachers and students at KKCS. She also honored them with prizes. She pointed out that there are TA's at each classroom, and they offered much help to the students.

Yanyu Zhou then talked about the goal of the Chinese New Year Celebration Party to the students and parents, which is to let the kids understand the meaning of Spring Festival, also encourage them to say New Year's auspicious sentences in Chinese. It was a learning through playing type of activity.

The manager of the Panda Express Inc., Mr. Yanrong Pan, offered a box of Panda Express Meal to everyone at the celebration. He also offered almost 100 panda toys and nut snacks as the prizes of the game. Students were very active in answering the questions. They surely showed that they had quite a bit of knowledge on the stories and customs about Spring Festival. The most welcomed prize was the panda toy; kids who got it loved it very much and didn't want to put it down.
