Return to the Community

As a heritage school based on the community resources, while we appreciate all generous support from the communities, we also completely understood the value of and responsibility for our return to the community. KKCS has been putting all its efforts to provide high quality of Chinese language and culture education to meet the expectation from the communities and the different needs from our students. Meanwhile, we actively organize and participate in all kinds of activities and events to make our contributions to the community. The following are some activities we have often involved in our community.

Boston Shines

Mayor Menino's year-round neighborhood clean up and community service program, Boston Shines 365, provides the tools and materials to help volunteers successfully complete projects in every neighborhood in Boston. KKCS joined this event every year to help to paint a community center, plant flowers, sweep, rake and pick up trash to make the communities more beautiful.

Annual Respect Elderly Event

To teach our children to respect the elder people, a treasure Chinese traditional culture, KKCS holds an annual respect elderly activity. We either invite the elderly people to come to KKCS or go to the senior nursing house to have a gathering party and art performance to the elderly people. Please click here for the report of the 2009 event.
